HockeyTech will provide the CCHL with a host of new technology services to improve both the fan experience and the operations of the league and teams
Waterloo, Ontario (PRWEB) June 20, 2017
HockeyTech, the worldwide leader in providing hockey-related technologies, analytics, and information services, today announced an expansion of their partnership agreement with the Central Canada Hockey League (CCHL). The CCHL, a member league of the Canadian Junior Hockey League (CJHL), will benefit from the continuation and expansion of technology services that HockeyTech has been providing to the Junior ‘A’ hockey league.
HockeyTech’s agreement with the CCHL means that the technology company will now provide the league and its twelve member franchises with a host of services, including:
- LeagueStat live scoring and statistics management
- Digital services – League and Team websites and League mobile apps
- RinkNet player administration, scouting, and information services
- League Trade Center to manage player transactions
- Draft Centre to manage the annual CCHL draft
- HockeyTV to live broadcast all games onto virtually any Internet-connected device (computers, tablets, mobile, or OTT) in High Definition
- Video analysis and breakdown tools
The CCHL will also be the first league worldwide to install HockeyTech’s new ViPr system for the Video Production of streamed game broadcasts on HockeyTV. Each team’s arena will be outfitted with an installed video device at center ice, which will capture the entire sheet of ice in one high definition, undistorted, panoramic video stream. For the typical broadcast, the system automatically follows the play on the ice, eliminating the need for a person to man the camera. The system also retains a full ice video stream for enhanced capabilities. In the near future, the CCHL will be able to allow viewers to watch the game the way they want to. For example, a parent, coach or scout will be able to follow an individual player, and league officials will be able to review behind-the-play action missed by the typical broadcast for supplementary discipline.
“We are proud to greatly expand the services we provide to the CCHL, a long valued partner of ours”, said HockeyTech CEO Stu Siegel. “The services that HockeyTech have integrated are focused on helping leagues and teams operate more efficiently and improving the tools for coaches, scouts and general managers, while making the fan experience second to none.”
CCHL teams and fans will see these new technologies implemented for the 2017-18 season.
“The CCHL embraces its role as the leader in North America for hockey technology”, says CCHL Commissioner Kevin Abrams. “The expanding partnership with HockeyTech is a further example of our keen interest in growing our platforms to the benefit of players, families, fans, sponsors and the ever changing scouting community.”
HockeyTech is the worldwide leader in providing hockey-related technologies, analytics, and information services. About the Central Canada Hockey League
The Central Canada Hockey League (CCHL) is a proud member of the Canadian Junior Hockey League (CJHL). The CJHL is an association of the ten Junior ‘A’ leagues in Canada. The CCHL began as a development league founded by the Montreal Canadiens in 1961. This development philosophy remains, as the CCHL is annually a league sending a large number of young players to higher levels. For many players, the CCHL is a stepping stone to the NCAA, CIS, OHL and the NHL. The CCHL has twelve member franchises, centrally located in the Ottawa region.
